Support is required - and not restrictions

Our network is based on mutual trust - and is not just another certifying body. Together we are struggling for better marketing success of eco-fair products – and for effective sustainable development.

There are already Fairtrade certification schemes such as FLO and WFTO, and there are also a lot of organic certificates as well. What is reason for the establishment of the Trust Organic Small Farmers Network?

The answer is quite simple: Trust Organic Small Farmers is supporting small farmers and their trading partners to raise their success on the markets - fields, where Fair Trade labelling and eco certification unfortunately often neglect their responsibility.

Marginalized producers do not need more eco-ethic police. They need effectice and appropriate tools for marketing, eco-ethic consumer education and sustainable development assistance.

Our most important aim is to improve the eco-social situation of marginalized organic farmers by facts – not to increase bureaucracy and costs of monitoring and evaluation.
